You are visiting us because we have something you value. Independent, unbiased news that tells the truth. Advertising revenue goes some way to support our mission, but this year it has not been enough.

What's going on in Elections 2014? We're here to help

All the information you need in one handy widget. You’re welcome.

AS IF one election campaign was not ordeal enough, we have two to contend with in the run-up to the ballot boxes this Friday.

We want to ease your path through the reams of literature around the local elections – to elect councillors to our local authorities; and the Euro elections – to elect Ireland’s new representatives to the European parliament.

To that end – with the help of our amazing tech team – TheJournal.ie has created a handy microsite to bring you all the information you need to make an informed decision at the polls.

On desktop?

Either click on the #Election-2014 section at the right-hand side of our home page;

OR simply click on this URL - thejournal.ie/election-2014/.

You’ll see a breakdown of Euro constituencies and attached candidate profiles at the top; latest election news stories underneath.

On our Android or iOS apps?

You’ll find the Election 2014 symbol in the drawer menu, which you can access by clicking the icon in the top left corner. Go on – touch it. TOUCH IT.

Hit the European tab for latest stories on the Euro elections – and candidate-finder map and profiles for every MEP hopeful.

Find candidates by your county….

…or by constituency…

…Their profiles – and our interviews with each of them (this is NOT an endorsement for Eamon Ryan; they all get a good show in there)…

We hope it makes it easier to find what you are looking for!
