If your electricity went last night...it should be back by now

Up to 2,000 homes in Limerick have been affected.

THOUSANDS OF CUSTOMERS in Limerick have had their power restored overnight following a major outage.

Up to 2,000 homes in Limerick were without electricity last night after a fault which happened at around 7pm.

ESB Networks apologised for any inconvenience caused and said that Limerick customers should now have supply fully restored.

It’s understood that it affected homes in both Limerick county and city.

Customer are advised to go to powercheck.ie for updates.

According to the Limerick Post, locals on the south side of the city reported seeing a large flash across the skyline which was quickly followed by a loud bang, just before the incident.
