Power restored to almost 3,200 affected by electricity fault in Dublin

The fault was first noted just after 3.30am today.

IN EXCESS OF 3000 ESB customers were affected by an electricity outage in Dublin today.

The ESB told customers that a fault with an underground cable in Drimnagh is to blame for the issues.

Its latest estimated time for conclusion of repairs was 3pm:
