IF YOU’RE PREDISPOSED to crying easily and currently find yourself at work, not watching the above video might be a good idea.

It features Jerry Long and his daughter Emily singing a song to Jerry’s wife and Emily’s mother Liz, who died just nine weeks ago.

They were appearing on C103′s Cork Today show with Patricia Messinger, and the father and daughter combo said that Emily had written the song as a tribute to her late mother.

The song, called ‘Get Up, Dress Up’, is a tribute to the fight that Liz showed after her diagnosis in November 2011.

“God bless her, she spent a lot of time with that attitude,” said Jerry Long.

Get up and dress up no matter what. No matter how sick she was, she always got up and continued. She never complained once.

Speaking to the host, Emily said that she had written the song in about 20 minutes, and planned it so that her father sang the chorus and she sang the verse.

The video has drawn a big reaction online and has been viewed by more than 30,000 people.
