'The colours all reflect my personal taste': Emma shares her newly-decorated bedroom

Emma’s bedroom doubles as a studio for her YouTube videos.

Each week, we ask someone based in Ireland with a passion for interiors to share one photo of their favourite spot in their home.

This week, Emma Maria (@emmainteriorss) chatted us through her favourite spot: her newly decorated bedroom.

What do you love about this part of your home?

It’s the only space I get to make my own as I still live at home with my parents, so unfortunately it is the only room I can fully decorate myself for now. I have styled various rooms around the house, however my bedroom is very “me”.

What’s your favourite object in here and why?

It would be hard to narrow it down to one because I am so in love with my wardrobe and my bed. I recently renovated my bedroom all around my new personalised wardrobe from Ikea. Being a fashion YouTuber means I have a lot of clothes, so a new wardrobe was a must.

Be honest: How much tidying did you do before taking this photo?

Not much! I am a bit of a clean freak. I use my bedroom as my filming studio for Youtube so I have gotten into a routine to always have a clean backdrop.

What was your inspiration when you were putting this room together?

I wanted this space to be very easy on the eye. I had my bedroom colours reflect my fashion taste. I am very simplistic and neutral. I don’t like much fuss. A bedroom should be relaxing to come home to after a day’s work. Somewhere easy to wind down.

Is there anything in here you’d like to change?

I love each piece in my bedroom so much. It has taken a lot of work to get it to where it is. I have debated on changing the two prints behind my bed for each season, but I love them so much I can’t bring myself to change it up just yet.
