Gardaí search for escaped prisoner in Cavan

John Paul Duncan escaped from Loughan House yesterday afternoon.

GARDAÍ ARE SEARCHING for an escaped prisoner in Cavan, it is understood.

John Paul Duncan (30) escaped was transferred to Loughan House on Tuesday this week, and escaped yesterday.

He has not yet been located, a source said.

RTÉ News reports that Duncan was due for release in 2017, and was serving a sentence for possession of as much as €2.8 million worth of drugs.
