'Our financial future is secure': Family collects €15m EuroMillions cheque

… but they’re remaining anonymous.

THE WINNERS WHO hit the jackpot with a €6 Quickpick selection in the lotto have picked up their cheque of €15 million at the National Lotto offices today.

The winning family members, who do not wish their identity to be known, said they were ‘both delighted and dumbstruck’ at having won such a large sum of money.

One family member said:

We have been playing EuroMillions for a number of years now and have won small prizes, but this win is definitely life-changing.

‘Since we realised we are the winners, we’ve been coming to terms with the news, but it’s almost overwhelming. We haven’t made any definite plans as yet. One thing is certain: we intend to make sure that our family’s financial future is secured,’ said the family.
