  • Gardaí extended searches in Dundalk as they continued to investigate the murder of Kyran Durnin.
  • The families of the victims of the Creeslough tragedy have written to the Minister for Justice asking for a meeting before the general election.
  • The Climate Change Advisory Council issued recommendations to the government saying that it should end fossil fuel subsidies and allocate more funding to replacing fossil fuels with clean energy alternatives.
  • Dublin City University said that it is “exploring all legal recourse” after academic staff who teach a course for SPHE co-ordinators have been threatened, sworn at and libeled in content that spreads false information about the syllabus.

#LEBANON The Israeli military told civilians in the south of Lebanon’s capital Beirut to leave the area as its rocket strikes intensified.
