Spooky Town: Fota Island has transformed into a spooky wonderland this Halloween. Kids can enjoy an immersive treasure hunt through the grounds of Spooky Town with a treat station at the end.

Make Your Own Halloween: The Toy Soldier Factory in Kilnamartyra is running Halloween workshops this week, where children can cast their own diecast pumpkin or scary witch before painting and varnishing it.

LIMERICK

Spooktacular Science: Kids can take a science workshop in King John’s Castle this week, where they’ll learn to make three kinds of slime, explode some fizzy drinks and make lunch bags that will terrify their pals.

Wild Lights: The gorgeous Wild Lights returns to Dublin Zoo next Thursday and this year will tell the tale of the life aquatic through its giant silk lanterns. Visiting the zoo at night is a treat not to be missed.

Halloween Disco: Get down to Meeting House Square on bank holiday Monday for Dracula’s Disco. This child themed dance off has been created especially for little monsters who want to dress up and shake it off for a few hours before the big night itself.

Galway Aboo Festival: A bank holiday smorgasbord of free spooky events will take place across Galway this weekend, culminating in the incredible spectacular that is the Macnas Halloween Parade.
