IT’S NO SURPRISE to anyone that students are struggling more than ever to find suitable accommodation for the academic year ahead.

Rents across the country are jumping to record levels and the number of rental properties is at its lowest in recorded history.

Earlier this evening, we were live on Facebook with UCD’s Student Union President Katie Ascough and our own reporter Cormac Fitzgerald, talking about the shortage of places, the high costs, the scams and options like digs.
