Here's the average price of a home in Fairview and Marino in 2017

THE AVERAGE ASKING price of a home in Fairview and Marino is now just a shade over €433,000, according to the newest figures.

Analysis by Daft.ie shows that the average list price across all properties in the area was €433,050 in the third quarter of 2017.

This is a fair bit above the overall average of €395,000 across Dublin city and county. Prices in Fairview and Marino have also risen faster than the norm – up by 81% in the last five years, from a low point of €239,300 in 2012.

They remain significantly lower than their Celtic Tiger peak. Prices hit €576,000 in 2006.

The data suggests that buyers will pay a premium to live in Fairview and Marino, compared to some neighbouring areas. Drumcondra’s average price is €415,484, with Beaumont’s at €327,566. In East Wall and North Strand it is €279,225.

However, prices in Clontarf on the seafront are significantly more expensive with the average at €533,654.
