This fake gun was discovered at a routine checkpoint

No arrests were made during the seizure.

ONE IMITATION FIREARM and five cars have been seized by gardaí in Tallaght.

The Dublin Metropolitan Region South traffic unit, which is based in Terenure, made the seizure yesterday.

A garda spokesperson said there would be an investigation in relation to the firearm itself.

However, no arrests were made during the seizure.

The cars were seized as documentation wasn’t produced. Seized cars with no tax or insurance are returned when fees are paid.
