Family appeal for information on missing woman Blathnaid Timothy

Search for information regarding the whereabouts of Blathnaid Timothy, 33, continues. She was last seen on Tuesday, 14 December, and is known to have used an ATM on Sir John Rogerson’s Quay at 8pm that day.

THE FAMILY OF MISSING 33-year-old Blathnaid Timothy has issued an emotional appeal for information regarding her whereabouts.

The Irish Examiner reports that her sister Aoife said the family are “very worred” for Blathnaid and feel like they are “in a vaccum at the moment”.

Aoife Timothy said: “We miss and love and want you home”.

Blathnaid’s brother Brendan Timothy has already launched a Facebook appeal for any information regarding his sister, which he is asking people to share to their profile page so that it reaches more people.

Blathnaid Timothy has been missing since 14 December – a Tuesday.

She is originally from Glenamaddy, Co Galway, but has been living at Smith Hall, Camden Street, Dublin city. She was last seen by her Smith Hall flatmate that morning.

Blathnaid is described as being 5′ 6” in height, with medium length dark brown hair and is of thin build. She has a pale complexion. She was wearing a black 3/4 length wool coat, grey jeans, dark shoes/boots and a red-and-black-patterned scarf on Tuesday.

She used the National Irish Bank ATM at Sir John Rogerson’s Quay in Dublin city centre at 8pm on that Tuesday. Aoife Timothy said her sister withdrew €60.

Immediately after using the machine, she hailed a taxi and got into the back seat. The taxi, which appears to be a black Mercedes in CCTV footage (see images below), drove west along the quays towards the city centre.

Gardaí would like to speak to this taxi driver to find out where Timothy was dropped off.

Anyone with information is asked to contact gardaí on 01 666 9500. The Garda Confidential Line is 1800 666 111.
