Investigation after boy, 10, dies on farm in Co Down

The Health and Safety Executive in Northern Ireland has confirmed that it is investigating the death.

AUTHORITIES IN NORTHERN Ireland are investigating the death of a 10-year-old boy on  farm in Co Down earlier today.

The boy fell from farm machinery shortly before 2.30pm this afternoon at a farm on Rathfriland Road in Castlewellan, Banbridge in Co Down.

The Health and Safety Executive in Northern Ireland has confirmed that it is investigating the death.

“Our deepest sympathies are with the family at this most difficult time,” a statement said.
