Farmer dies after falling from roof in Galway

The man’s body was discovered by a relative.

A FARMER HAS died after falling through a roof in north Galway earlier today.

The 59-year-old was on the roof of a shed earlier when the incident happened.

It is unclear if the man was the owner of the farm in the Monivea area.

He is believed to have been carrying out repair work at the time of the accident.

Gardaí in the Mill Street station are carrying out an investigation into the incident along with the Health and Safety Authority.

His body was discovered by a relative.

The Connacht Tribune is reporting that the scene of the incident is still sealed off.
