Man (94) dies in three-car collision in Wexford

Three other people, including a four-year-old girl, were also injured.

A 94-YEAR-OLD MAN has died following a three-car collision in Wexford.

Three other people, including a four-year-old girl, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident took place at 4.45pm yesterday on a minor road at Gorteenminogue Lower, Murrintown.

The man, who was a passenger in a car, was taken to Wexford General Hospital following the crash but was later pronounced dead. The driver of the car he was travelling in, an 80-year-old woman, was hospitalised.

Two people in a second car, a 27-year-old woman and the four-year-old girl, were also injured.

The occupants of the third car were uninjured.

The road was closed last night to allow for a technical examination to be carried out.
