GARDAÍ IN KERRY are investigating the death of a man in his forties at a house in the Glenbeigh area of the county.

His body was discovered in the living room of the house yesterday afternoon.

A fire, confined to the room, had broken out. Emergency services reported smoke damage to the house.

Investigators are treating it as a sudden death, and the man’s body has been removed from the scene.

A post-mortem examination is set to be carried out on his remains, a Garda spokesperson confirmed.
