Man (20s) dies after motorcycle collision in Wicklow

The incident took place in Carnew yesterday evening.

A MOTORCYCLIST, A man aged in his 20s, has died after a single-vehicle collision that occured in county Wicklow yesterday evening.

The incident took place at around 6.30pm on Saturday at Tombreen in Carnew.

The man was taken to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin with serious injuries. He was later pronounced dead.

A technical examination of the scene has been conducted by Forensic Collision Investigators and the road has since reopened.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Tombreen area between 6.15pm and 6.45pm are asked to make this footage available to gardaí.
