Woman (early 20s) dies following collision between car and truck in Meath

The driver of the truck received minor injuries.

A WOMAN IN her early 20s has died following a collision between a car and a truck in Meath.

The incident happened at Moyleggan, Batterstown at around 4pm this afternoon.

The woman, who was the sole occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at scene.

The driver of the truck received minor injuries, and was taken to Navan hospital for treatment.

The road is currently closed while a forensic examination of the scene is carried out.

Witnesses to the collision are asked to contact Ashbourne Garda Station on 01 8010600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
