Man (30s) dies in single vehicle motorcycle collision in Co Longford

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.

A MAN HAS died following a motorcyle crash in the early hours of the morning in Kilnashee, Drumlish, County Longford. 

The driver of the motorcycle, a man in his 30s, was killed during the collision.

Garda were alerted to the single vehicle collision at approximately 1.15am this morning. 

Road diversions are currently in place as the R198, Longford to Drumlish road, remains closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conduct a technical examination of the scene.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time of the incident, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
