Man (30s) due in court following alleged assault on teenage girl in Fermoy

A MAN IN his 30s is due to appear before court following an alleged assault on a teenage girl in Fermoy, Co Cork yesterday.

The alleged incident took place at approximately 1.20pm yesterday afternoon.

A man in his 30s was arrested in relation to the incident and was detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Fermoy Garda Station.

Gardaí confirmed this evening that the man arrested in relation to this incident is due to appear before Mallow District Court tomorrow morning.
