Fidel Castro labels Obama's UN speech 'gibberish'

The former Cuban leader has dismissed Barack Obama’s recent UN speech and condemned Nato’s campaign in Libya as a “monstrous crime”.

FORMER CUBAN LEADER Fidel Castro has dismissed US President Barack Obama’s recent speech to the United Nations as “gibberish”.

Writing in his first published article since July, said that Obama’s speech attempted to “justify the unjustifiable”. Castro strongly condemned Natos’ campaign in Libya, saying that its actions there were a “monstrous crime”.

Castro writes articles as part of his “Reflections” series for state media.

Little has been seen of Castro, who passed power to his brother Raul in 2006, in recent months. However, there has been much speculation about the eighty-five year old’s reportedly declining health.

In the article, Castro says: “Who understands this gibberish of the president of the United States before the General Assembly?”

“Has any nation been excluded from the bloody threats of this illustrious defender of international peace and security?” he asked.

Castro said that Obama had misrepresented the situation in various countries, such as Iran, Afghanistan Syria and Libya, and claimed that the US and its allies used “fascist methods” in order to “confuse and manipulate global opinion”.

Who thinks Castro could be played by Liam Neeson in a film of his life?

So Fidel must have taken some time off from killing and persecuting Homosexuals. Or maybe he’s just mellowing with old age. Wake me up when he’s dead please.
