Poll: Who do you think would be Fine Gael's best vote-getter when Enda steps down?

Leo Varadkar, Simon Coveney and Frances Fitzgerald are all in the mix.

ALL IN ALL, it’s not been a good week for the government.

Amidst the ongoing scandal around the Maurice McCabe smear campaign allegations, the talk has begun to centre on Enda Kenny’s future as Fine Gael leader, and Taoiseach of this country.

With persistent talk of hopefuls lining up to succeed him, it is clear that there’ll be a host of Fine Gael TDs in a queue to replace Kenny when he eventually steps down, after serving as leader since 2002.

But, who would be the most successful at winning over the electorate if they replaced Enda Kenny?

We’re asking you: Who do you think would be Fine Gael’s biggest vote-getter when Enda steps down?

Poll Results:

Leo Varadkar (9009)
Simon Coveney (5032)
Someone else (3509)
Paschal Donohoe (894)
Frances Fitzgerald (527)
