Gardaí seize cocaine, pills and drug-making chemicals in Finglas

The controlled drugs are estimated to have a street value of €500, 000.

GARDAÍ HAVE TODAY seized a substantial amount of cannabis, cocaine and tablets as well as chemicals used to make psychoactive substances.

Members of the drugs and organised crime bureau stopped and searched a car on the North Road in Finglas at 4pm today. During the course of a search, officers seized cannabis resin, cocaine, precursor chemicals and a quantity of tablets.

The controlled drugs are estimated to have a street value of €500,000. A 44-year-old man was arrested and is currently being held at Finglas Garda Station.

Investigations are ongoing.
