South Dublin apartment block evacuated after fire broke out early this morning

The fire broke out in an underground car park.

AN APARTMENT BLOCK in South Dublin had to be evacuated by emergency services this morning after a fire in the underground car park.

The alarm was raised at the Abbey Glen apartments in Kill O The Grange at around 5.45am this morning.

Five units of Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene after a fire in one car spread to others.

The ESB and Bord Gais were called to cut off electricity and gas, while gardaí attended the scene.

Nobody was injured, but there is some structural damage to the building. Dun Laoighaire- Rathdown County Council’s dangerous building inspectors have been informed, Dublin Fire Brigade has said.
