Elderly man dies in Dublin house fire

The fire broke out in Artane on the northside of Dublin at around 9 o’clock this morning.

A MAN IN his 70s has died in a fatal house fire in Artane in Dublin this morning.

The alarm was raised at around 9am at the house on Ardcollum Avenue on the northside of Dublin. Emergency services were called to the scene and were able to extinguish the blaze.

No-one else was in the house at the time of the fire.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination but initial reports indicate that it is not believed to be suspicious.

A post mortem is due to be carried out on the man.
