Gas cylinder worry as fire engulfs Dublin warehouse

Three units were sent to the fire which was brought under control.

THREE FIRE BRIGADE units were needed to deal with a fire at a warehouse in north county Dublin on Sunday night with officers reporting that a number of gas cylinders were nearby.

The fire broke out at a warehouse at an industrial unit in Farran’s Lane in Rush with numerous 999 calls made to Dublin Fire Brigade.

A total of 15 firefighters from Swords, Skerries and Balbriggan were all dispatched to the scene after 9pm last night.

Gardaí, ESB Networks and Fingal County Council were all also asked to attend the scene because of the materials on site and nearby power lines.

A large amount of smoke was visible in the area because of the fire before it was brought under control.
