Serious fire in Bray brought under control, diversions remain in place

The fire broke out overnight on the Main Street of Bray.

A FIRE WHICH broke out at a building in Bray, Co Wicklow overnight has been brought under control. 

The fire broke out overnight on the Main Street of Bray.

Three stations from Wicklow Fire Service attended the scene. 

In a tweet shortly after 10am, Wicklow Fire Service said the blaze had been brought under control. 

“Work is still ongoing to fully extinguish all pockets of fire,” it said. 

The Main Street was closed until further notice while emergency services deal with the fire, according to AA Roadwatch. 

Wicklow Fire Service has said the street will remain closed for a number of hours. 

Diversions have been put in place and people are being advised to avoid the area.

Dublin Bus routes 84 and 145 are currently unable to serve the area and have been diverted. 

G0-Ahead Ireland bus services 45A, 184 and 185 have also been diverted from the area.
