Electrical fire at Mater Hospital this afternoon

There are no reports of any injuries at this stage.

THE DUBLIN FIRE Brigade were called to an electrical fire at the Mater Hospital in Dublin this afternoon.

A spokesperson for the brigade told TheJournal.ie that the fire started at around 3pm.

Six units of the fire brigade attended the scene and the fire is now under control.

There was a partial evacuation of the hospital but there are no reports of any injuries at this stage.

The fire brigade is still at the scene.

Traffic diversions were in place as the North Circular Road was closed between Dorset St and Berkley Road. However, these restrictions are due to be lifted.
