Four homes destroyed in Meath fire overnight

The properties were evacuated on time and nobody was injured.

FOUR HOUSES IN an estate in Meath were destroyed in a fire last night.

The Claremont Estate properties were occupied when the blaze started at about 8pm but they were evacuated on time and nobody was injured.

According to LMFM, the fire broke out in the roof of one of the houses and then spread to the other three.

Fire service personnel from Navan, Kells and Trim attended the scene until the early hours of this morning, reports the Meath Chronicle.

Local TD Peadar Tóibin was tweeting about the situation last night.
