First Budget 2011 cutback: Is Brian Lenihan wearing last year's tie?

Today’s dark blue tie with light stripes looks very similar to the one he donned to present Budget 2010.

BOOKMAKERS WERE ON the money with their odds on which colour tie Brian Lenihan would be wearing as he presented Budget 2011. The Finance Minister posed for the traditional Budget Day photocall at Government Buildings today wearing a dark blue tie shot through with thin white and pale gold stripes.

But look at his outfit on the same occasion last year. Could Brian Lenihan be taking the first budgetary cutback on himself and wearing last year’s tie? Either that or he’s a man who knows what style suits him – and sticks to it….
