Five viable improvised explosive devices found in Co Clare

The Armby Bomb Disposal Team was called to Tulla this morning after the devices were discovered.

THE ARMY BOMB Disposal Team has made five improvised explosive devices safe in Co Clare this afternoon.

Gardaí alerted the Defence Forces to the discovery of the five IEDs in an isolated location in Tulla and the team arrived on the scene at 11.30am.

The devices were examined at the scene and rendered safe before being subjected to further technical examination. The scene was declared safe at 2pm.

The IEDs have been handed over to gardaí for further investigation.

This is the Bomb Disposal Team’s fourth call-out involving IEDs so far this year and their 15th call-out so far this year.
