Man involved in foiled armed pub robbery to appear in court

Two men armed with a knife and a shotgun entered the premises and held up staff last night.

A MAN WHO customers tackled in a pub robbery in Drogheda last night is to appear in court tomorrow morning.

Gardai arrested the 21-year-old man at the pub on Marsh Road last night.

At around 8.15pm two men armed with a knife and a shotgun entered the premises and held up staff.

However, customers managed to overpower one man, while the other fled the scene.

A 21-year-old male is being detained at Drogheda Garda Station in relation to the armed robbery and is scheduled to appear before a special sitting of Dundalk District Court tomorrow morning at 10am charged in connection with the robbery.
