Four gardaí hospitalised after Cork crash

Four gardaí have been brought to Cork University Hospital after two patrol cars crashed in the early hours of this morning.

FOUR GARDAÍ HAVE been hospitalised after a crash involving two patrol cars in Cork city in the early hour of this morning.

The incident occurred on the South Link at the junction of Boreenmanna road at 1.30am, RTÉ reports. All four are in their 20s and 30s.

They have been brought to Cork University Hospital where their injuries have been described as not life-threatening.

Gardaí are carrying out a technical examination of the scene, meaning diversions will be in place until at least midday.
