Four men arrested over plot to rob Co Wicklow business

Gardaí recovered baseball bats and hatchets during last night’s operation in Greystones.

FOUR MEN have been arrested in Greystones, Co Wicklow for conspiracy to rob a commercial premises in the area.

The men were arrested at around 9.10pm yesterday and are all being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.

Baseball bats and hatchets were also recovered during the operation involving gardaí from the Organised Crime Unit and a number of national units. A garda car was damaged but no injuries were reported.

Three of the men, aged 21, 31 and 37, are being detained at Bray Garda Station, while the fourth man, 17, is being held at Wicklow Garda Station.
