Four set for court over twin cannabis hauls

Three men and a woman will appear before Blanchardstown District Court on drugs charges tomorrow morning.

FOUR PEOPLE ARE to appear before Blanchardstown District Court tomorrow morning in connection with the seizure of 55kgs of cannabis in Dublin and Kildare earlier this week.

The four are among eight people – seven men and one woman – arrested following the twin hauls at a car in Celbridge and an apartment in Adamstown on Tuesday.

The two hauls had a combined weight of 55kg – meaning a street value of over €600,000.

The three men and one woman will face drugs charges, while a fourth man is to be charged with separate offences not related to the cannabis seizure.

The other three have been released without charge. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
