Mystery man threw cash at shoppers in Derry Shopping Centre

Police have examined the money and said it was genuine.

A MAN THREW banknotes to people in a shopping centre in Derry earlier this week.

The mystery man threw the notes down at unsuspecting shoppers from the first floor of Foyleside shopping centre on Tuesday.

The Derry Journal reported that “he threw a mixture of £10 and £20 notes from the first floor on to shoppers below”.

Police have examined the money and said it was genuine.

The identity of the man is not known but police have stated that no crime was committed.
