What was that? Free hearing tests available nationwide next week

Free hearing screening will be provided by Hidden Hearing in its 65 centres nationwide and through its mobile clinic which will tour the country.

FREE HEARING TESTS are being provided throughout the country next week as part of Positive Ageing Week.

The hearing healthcare provider, Hidden Hearing, has launched its National Hearing Screening Programme which will provide a free screening in its 65 centres throughout the country next week.

Its mobile clinic will also be visiting locations across Ireland including Tipperary, Monaghan, Kilkenny, Dublin and Louth in the coming week offering free hearing tests to those interested.

“Our National Hearing Screening Programme will help address the problem of untreated hearing loss, particularly among people over the age of 60, many of whom delay seeking treatment,” Dolores Madden, the marketing manager of Hidden Hearing said.

“With our population growing older, we are facing a hearing loss time bomb if people continue to ignore their hearing health. People need to be encouraged to value their hearing.

“It is staggering that it still takes people up to 15 years before they address their hearing loss, compared to around three years for sight problems”.

For more information you can visit the Hidden Hearing website.
