Frocks and, er, socks: Queen Elizabeth II dresses to go on show here

British ambassador will exhibit QEII evening gowns in his Dublin home – alongside the work of some UK designers.

THE BRITISH AMBASSADOR will be trying to get Ireland in the mood for the visit of Queen Elizabeth II in May with an exhibition in his Sandyford house next Thursday.

The showcase at his Sandyford residence will include “a number of evening gowns worn by Her Majesty on previous State Visits and significant occasions”. Also on display beside the royal frocks will be designs from 15 young British fashion and jewellery designers.
