GALLERY: Red Cross teams deal with (fake) injuries across Dundalk

This year’s First Aid Convention Europe was hosted by the Irish Red Cross in Louth this week.

RED CROSS TEAMS from across Europe gathered in Dundalk at the weekend to deal with falls, sword attacks, road crashes and farming accidents.

They were competing to be named the most knowledgeable and skilled first aid team on the continent. They underwent eight hours of gruelling tasks from simulated sports accidents to falls from buildings.

Team Italy emerged victorious, beating out 20 other teams.
