Man (61) in serious condition after Galway crash

Gardai in Ballinasloe, Co Galway are investigating.

A-61-YEAR-OLD MAN has been seriously injured in a traffic accident in Co Galway.

Two cars collided on the Ballinasloe to Athlone Rd at Kilgarve, Creagh, Ballinasloe at around 9pm last night.

A 21-year-man, who was driving the other car involved in the crash, was uninjured.

The other driver is being treated in Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.

Gardai are investigating and the road is currently closed for a Forensic Collision examination and diversions are in place.

Witnesses to the collision are asked to contact Ballinasloe Garda station on 090 9631890, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
