Woman dies in Galway farm accident

It is understood that there were livestock in the field at the time.

A POST MORTEM will be carried out on the body of a woman whose body was found in a field in Galway yesterday.

The body of the 54-year-old was found in the field on the farm in Headford yesterday.

It is understood that there were livestock in the field at the time.

A doctor was called to the scene in Headford yesterday morning but the woman was pronounced dead.

The Health and Safety Authority was alerted to the incident yesterday afternoon and is investigating.
