Two-hour delay on Dublin to Galway train line

Irish Rail said staff are on site and working to rectify the issue as soon as possible.

IARNRÓD ÉIREANN HAS said there are “significant delays” on the Galway train line due to a signal fault.

The 1.25pm and 3.35pm trains from Heuston Station in Dublin to Galway are operating with delays of up to 120 minutes.

Earlier, Irish Rail said it was experiencing a 30-minute delay on the line but the timeline has since been extended.

The company said staff are on site and working to rectify the issue as soon as possible.
