Gardaí renew appeal for information on 2009 Phoenix Park death

The body of Eugenia Bratis was found in the park in August 2009. Gardaí are asking one of the men who found her to come forward.

GARDAÍ HAVE ISSUED an appeal for a man who discovered the body of a Romanian national in the Phoenix Park in 2009 to come forward.

The body of Eugenia Bratis was found in a wooded area just off Military Road at 3.30 in the afternoon on 5 August 2009.

Two men found her body but only one of these men came forward to assist in the Garda investigation. Gardaí are now appealing for the other man to come forward.

He’s believed to be in his late sixties or early seventies, bald, around 5’8” and of average build. He’s asked to contact the incident room at Cabra Garda Station.

Gardaí say a suspect in the case has yet to be identified and  more than 1,000 lines of investigation have already been explored.

They’re also asking for members of the Roma and Romanian community who knew Eugenia or may have information to come forward.
