Appeal for witnesses after man found with serious injuries in early hours in Galway

The man is being treated for serious injuries at University Hospital Galway.

GARDAÍ IN GALWAY are appealing for witnesses after a man was found unconscious and seriously injured in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The man in his 20s was found at approximately 3am at St Bridget’s Place, Prospect Hill in the city.

He was taken to University Hospital Galway with serious injuries.

Gardaí said the scene has been preserved for technical examination.

Anyone who was in the vicinity of Prospect Hill around that time is urged to come forward.

Taxi drivers with dash cameras are also being sought out as potential witnesses by gardaí.
