Phones, cameras and fake IDs seized in raid on Dublin criminal gang

Gardaí targeted an organised gang who have been stealing mobile phones in Dublin.

SMARTPHONES, LAPTOPS, JEWELLERY and fake IDs have been seized by Gardaí as part of an investigation into an organised crime gang in Dublin who have been stealing mobile phones.

Gardaí carried out planned raids at homes in Tallaght and the North Circular Road in Dublin earlier today as part of what was described as an intelligence-led investigation into the gang named Operation Aughrim.

SIM cards, cameras, sat navs, ATM cards and a quantity of cash in both euros and sterling was also seized.

No-one has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.
