Cyclist seriously injured after being struck by a bus in Dublin

The incident involved a female cyclist and happened on the Burlington Road.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses following a road traffic collision in Dublin yesterday.

The incident occurred at around 9.40pm last night and saw a 55-year-old cyclist seriously injured when she was struck by a bus.

The incident occurred on the Burlington Road on the city’s south side. The woman was taken from the scene by ambulance to St. Vincent’s University Hospital.

The woman is thought to currently be in a serious condition. The scene of the incident was examined by Garda forensic collision investigators.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them at Donnybrook Garda Station on 01-6669200 or on the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
