Number of people summoned before courts after parking in disabled space without permit

Gardaí are asking people to park legally and responsibly.

GARDAÍ ARE REMINDING people to respect wheelchair parking bays and permit holder conditions.

It comes after eleven people were recently summonsed before Dublin courts for fraudulent use of a disabled parking permit.

Gardaí say that seven defendants were convicted and got fines ranging from €500 – €800.

The offence carries a maximum penalty of €3,000 and/or six months’ imprisonment.
