Garda sergeant charged with sexual assault of female colleagues

A sergeant appears in Dublin District Court charged with three assaults on two female Gardaí at a station last year.

A GARDA SERGEANT has appeared in court charged with three counts of sexual assault on two female colleagues at a Garda station last year.

The Garda, in his forties, faced charges of sexual assaulting two female Gardaí on dates in March and June 2010.

All three of the incidents are alleged to have taken place at a station in Dublin.

He was charged under Section 2 of the Criminal Law (Rape) (Amendment) Act 1990, as amended, and remanded to appear in the court in four weeks.

The Garda’s identity cannot be disclosed.
