Shotgun fired at rural Garda station

Sources say it is the latest in a number of incidents.

TWO WINDOWS WERE smashed when a shotgun was fired at a Garda station in Kildare.

Nobody was in Carbury Garda Station at the time of the attack, but sources say that this is the latest in a string of incidents against gardaí in the area.

Gardaí confirmed that they believe a shotgun was fired at the windows in the early hours of Wednesday morning while the station was closed.

The incident is being investigated by Leixlip Garda Station and anyone with any information is asked to contact 01 666 7800.
